Reform NYS Lobby Day

Yesterday was Reform NYS Lobby Day. Tens of thousands of citizens marched on the capitol to demand reform of the state government....actually it was more like a couple hundred, but they did have megaphones and were chanting. What is there to march about?

"The state Senate is expected today to clear the way for a public vote on a constitutional amendment to reform New York's budget process this fall."

This would mean that we the voters would have some input on how the budget gets done along with some other odds and ends. Sounds good to me. And before you write off the idea of marching on the capitol they did get some other activity, or promises of activity.

"Senate Democrats called for transparency in lobbying for state contracts"
