Ford McLain to run in the Seventh Ward

Ford McLain has officially announced that he is running for the Common Council seat for the 7th ward. No quotes from Ford in the mention in the TU but you may have seen him posting here on occasion. Among other things he has said,

"We don't agree on things, but we do agree on the primacy of accountability in city government."

That is a good place to start. Ford is going to have to wait until November for the big day as he is running on the Republican ticket. Hopefully we'll hear more from Ford here at DIA over the coming months. I'm all for having a two party system. And with the Working Families Party Albany might be looking at a three party system. That would be some good times.
