Why Things Must Change - One More Expensive Reason

From the News 10 site:

"Depositions into the firing of former Albany Police Commander Christian D'Alessandro continue Tuesday in federal court.

Former Police Chief Robert Wolfgang will be questioned. Albany Mayor Jerry Jennings has already been questioned.

D'Alessandro was fired a year ago over disagreements with police officials. Now, he's suing the city for $6 million, claiming he was fired for complaining about so-called "Atta Boy" days.

"Atta Boy" days are extra paid days off for certain assignments, beyond the regular overtime in some cases."

You can't fire someone just because they don't play along with your corrupt system. Now everyone in Albany is going to foot the bill. This coming at the time that the police chief admits to lying to cover up illegal police activity. Yes, we know that you used to be able to get away with this. But apparently things are a bit different now.

It will be interesting to see if this case is decided before the election.
